Three Questions

1. Who will come out on top, the Sabres new goalie or their old goalie?

Jhonas Enroth is slated be in the net tonight with plenty of motivation against his former team, while Robin Lehner has been red hot as of late with close to a .960 save percentage in his last five games. The Sabres will probably need a stronger game from Lehner than the Kings will from Enroth to come out on top tonight.

2. How will the Sabres young centers fare against Kopitar?

Anze Kopitar is one of the best all-around centers in the NHL, and would provide a big challenge to any opposing centerman, let alone two rookies. While Eichel showed some improvement in the faceoff circle last night, Reinhart was an abysmal 17% in the dot, and both players will need to bring a strong defensive game to stop Kopitar, Toffoli, Carter, Doughty, and the rest of the veteran Kings.

3. Who wins tonight, the Kings PP or the Sabres PK?

We asked this question yesterday, but no penalties were called all night. Luckily for our writing staff, the Kings are no slouches with the man advantage either, sitting at 4th in the NHL in power play percentage at 22.1%. The Sabres PK dropped down to 10th thanks to their night off, but chances are we’ll see some more special teams action tonight.

Projected BUF lines

Girgensons – Eichel – McGinn

Foligno – Larsson – Gionta

Deslauriers – Legwand – Moulson
