Two Questions

1. Can the Sabres build on what was their best game of the year?

Every aspect of the Sabres game was clicking in their 3-1 victory over the Flyers. Ryan O'Reilly was in Beast Mode earning three points and playing over 26 minutes, Jack Eichel scored another highlight reel goal, the defense and goaltending was solid, and the Sabres won both areas of special teams. The issue with young teams, however, is usually their inconsistency. We'll see tonight whether or not Buffalo can carry their momentum over to a superior opponent on the road.

2. Will John Tavares or Tyler Ennis play?

The Islanders star forward did not play in their last game due to illness, and his absence would be a huge hole to fill for the orange and blue. Ennis, meanwhile, will take the pregame skate and see how he feels. Should he play, he'll likely replace either Deslauriers or Foligno on the team's top line.

Projected BUF lines

Deslauriers - O'Reilly - Foligno
Larsson - Eichel - Reinhart
Moulson - Girgensons - Gionta
Legwand - Schaller - McGinn

Gorges - Ristolainen
McCabe - Franson
Colaiacovo - Pysyk

Goal: Linus Ullmark
