Sabres at Flyers Preview: Leopold Returns, Pardy Sits As Sabres Face Slumping Flyers

It’s been three days since the Sabres blew a 2-0 third period lead to lose against the New Jersey Devils. That loss dropped them into 14th place in the East, just a point out of last. Philadelphia comes into this game not doing too much better, having lost their last three in a row and currently sitting in 11th, just two points up on Buffalo. The Flyers are having many of the same problems that the Sabres are trying to get rid of, including poor defensive zone coverage and bad turnovers. Well, misery loves company, so tonight let’s all be miserable together.

Story

After nine games on the bench, Jordan Leopold returns to the ice in place of Adam Pardy. Leopold has not been anywhere near as steady this season as he has been previously, but perhaps his time off for injury has cleared his head. The Sabres could use some steadiness on the blue line after giving up a late 2-0 lead on Thursday in a loss to the Devils. John Scott is also confirmed to play.
