Three Questions

1. Which power play will help their team more tonight?

The Flyers have the fourth best power play in the NHL, but the third worst penalty kill. Of course, the Sabres are dead last in both categories, but can they take advantage of the poor Philly PK?

2. Can the Sabres shut down Wayne Simmonds?

Philadelphia’s leading goal scorer this season has four goals and seven total points in his last five games.

3. Will tonight’s game be another close one, and will the Sabres finally be able to win one of those?

The Sabres have played five straight one-goal games, but have only collected one out of those ten points. The Flyers aren’t exactly offensive world-beaters this season, but many nights two goals are an insurmountable lead for the Sabres.

Projected BUF lines

Moulson – Mitchell – Gionta
Foligno – Flynn – Deslauriers
Larsson – Ellis – Hodgson
