Three Questions

1. How will the Sabres follow up a dominant performance against Washington?

In what was one of their best performances of the season, the Sabres took down the league-leading Washington Capitals on Saturday by a 4-1 score. The last time these two teams played, Buffalo won handily by a 5-2 score, but will they be able to build on their effort against the Caps or suffer a disappointment at the hands of their old tanking foes?

2. Will Varone be able to keep up with Eichel on the second line?

After a strong game against Washington, Phil Varone gets the official promotion to the second line tonight. He looked good playing a bit with Eichel in the last game, and the Sabres could use more secondary scoring like they got from both he and Tim Schaller against Washington.

3. How do you feel about the John Scott trade?

Arizona shipped Scott out to Montreal as part of a three-team deal that will most likely result in Scott missing the All-Star game, and has thrown his life for a loop along with his wife, who is expecting twins. His presence in the game was questionable, but he did win the fan vote by the very rules that the NHL themselves set up, and for all his trouble ended up being nothing more than a pawn in a petty power move by the league office. Let us know what you think about the former Sabres great in the comments.
