Ted Nolan pulled quite the move benching Hodgson against his former team, the Canucks, in the Sabres last game. Hodgson has a reputation for inconsistent effort, especially in the defensive zone, so will his humiliation provide any extra fire tonight?
2. Can the Sabres avoid another awful third period?
The final frame has been the Achilles Heel of the Sabres during this losing streak, with many close games ending up as blowouts thanks to a terrible third period effort. If the Sabres should somehow end up leading or even tied after two, will they finally be able to put together a worthy effort to close out a game?
