Three Questions

1. How will Mark Pysyk and Tim Schaller look?

The Sabres lost Patrick Kaleta (illness) and Tyler Myers (injury) last night, meaning two more players had to be recalled. The Sabres now have Mikhail Grigorenko, Johan Larsson, Tim Schaller, and Mark Pysyk up from Rochester. The Amerks will struggling with all these guys in the lineup, and now are even worse.

We’ve seen Tim Schaller before this season for two games, but this will be Pysyk’s first NHL action this season. He was arguably the best Sabres defenseman at points last year. Can he finally stick in the NHL for good?

2. Can Chris Stewart increase his Bruins trade value with a goal?

Boston has been the number one team tied to trading for Sabres forward Chris Stewart, as they are looking to add a little more size. Can Stewart impress Peter Chiarelli with a goal or other great play tonight?

3. Will the Sabres outshoot a team for a second game in a row?

The Sabres pulled off a remarkable feat for them by outshooting Colorado last night. It may be tough to repeat that against the Bruins, but it’s good to remember that this isn’t the same Boston team that has been near the top of the standings the past few years. Boston is currently outside the playoff picture, one point behind the Rangers for the last Wild Card spot and seven points behind Detroit for the last division spot.

Projected BUF lines

Hodgson – Flynn -Gionta
Deslauriers – Foligno – Schaller
Larsson – Grigorenko – Stewart
