Preseason Game #4

Buffalo Sabres (2-1-0) vs Detroit Red Wings (2-0-0)
Puck Drop: 3:00 PM Eastern Time | Keybank Center
TV: A big NO but the next game will be on MSG
Stream: Sabres.com for Buffalo area residents
Radio: WGR 550

The Red Wings sent out a solid preseason lineup in Detroit the other night and took down the Sabres 5-2. Buffalo iced a 3rd and 4th line along with two lines of mostly Amerks and it showed. Today looks to be a different story. A few more heavy hitters should be in the lineup, including the first preseason appearance by Alex Tuch. Number 89 has been dealing with a minor injury but he is cleared to go now by head coach Lindy Ruff.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has returned to practice but he will need more time to get in game shape. Former Red Wings goaltender Alex Lyon looks to get the start today. Luukkonen should play in one or possibly both of the last two preseason outings for Buffalo.

The lines might look something like this today, you never know with Lindy:

Forwards:

Benson Norris Thompson

Zucker McLeod Tuch

Helenius Kozak Rosen

Geertson Leschyshyn Dunne

Defensemen:

Byram Dahlin

Johnson Timmins

Bryson Mrtka

Goalies:

Lyon Levi

Mind the start time today, this is an afternoon game at 3 pm. Every fan in attendance will get a free DBTB Jedi bobblehead to throw on the ice or in the nearest trash can.
