1. Starting Fresh
The Sabres snapped their 18-game losing streak yesterday with a triumphant 6-1 win over the Flyers. All four lines produced and nine different players secured points. Tonight we will see if the Sabres can keep rolling and add on another win. Linus Ullmark played a prominent role last night stopping 31 of 32 shots. Tonight Dustin Tokarski will be in the net with a 0-3 record 4.11 GAA, and a .890 SV%.
2. Curtis Lazar out
Curtis Lazar is considered week-to-week by the Sabres, replacing him will be Rasmus Asplund, who missed the last four games due to an upper-body injury.
3. Montour staying hot
In the last five games, Brandon Montour has 4 points, 3 goals in the last two games against the Flyers. Hopefully, he can continue his hot play and continue to be a factor on offense. Montour seems to be playing more freely and joining the rush and putting pucks on the net when he gets the opportunity. Montour is on a one-year contract and if he is looking for a new home, these past few games are only helping his value.
