A Magical Season to Remember in Return to the Playoffs
Last season’s Buffalo Sabres sure was a wild ride. The year started like business as usual with Buffalo in the lower half of the league before bottoming out at one point. Then something clicked as the team took off and never looked back, inching out the Atlantic Division title over always tough Tampa Bay and upstart Montreal. That led to their first playoff appearance in forever, then a six game series win over Boston before eventually falling in seven games to the Habs. The Sabres were an OT win away from being in the final four. Just crazy to contemplate, even now.
