NHL Free Agency 2014: Matt Moulson returns to Buffalo, Foligno signs two year deal

Tim Murray had stated that he was interested in bringing back both Steve Ott and Matt Moulson, and he's already locked up the later to a long-term deal.

The Sabres have now gotten back all the pieces they sent to Minnesota at the deadline, as Matt Moulson has signed a five-year $25 million deal to return in Buffalo. Rumors were swirling that Moulson was always very comfortable in Buffalo and was hoping to return, and it looks like the rumors were correct.

Moulson played 44 games with the Sabres last season after being acquired in the Thomas Vanek trade from the Islanders. He scored 11 goals and 18 assists as one of Buffalo's top forwards. He was a bit of a disappointment in the playoffs for the Wild this season, only scoring one goal and two assists in 10 games.

Moulson took to Twitter to express his excitement.

The Sabres also have signed restricted free agent Marcus Foligno to a new two-year $3.75 million deal. Foligno, 22, scored seven goals and 12 assists in 74 games with the Sabres this season.
