It’s time to put the finishing touches on the 2010-2011 season for the Buffalo Sabres. Here is a complete report card of every single player that played any amount of time with the Sabres this season. The journey began with Luke Adam and will conclude in a month with Mike Weber. Most of you may be wondering who Mark Parrish is and exactly when he played in a Buffalo Sabres game. Parrish played two games for the Sabres this year as an emergency replacement at the beginning of March. He really didn’t make an impact on the games that he played as he was only on the ice for two goals against in the Sabres loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 12th.
In the AHL, Parrish had 51 points which was good for fifth on the team in scoring during the regular season and added three goals and six points during the Calder Cup Playoffs. Parrish does have a solid NHL career as he has played 11 seasons in the NHL with a total of 722 games, 216 goals, and 387 points. He was drafted 79th overall in the 1996 Entry Draft.
At this point in Parrish’s career, he serves as a good AHL veteran to mentor the prospects in Portland/Rochester. He signed a one year, two-way deal last offseason and the organization would have to resign Parrish for another season.
