Eichel nominated for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy
Jack Eichel was named the Sabres nomination for the King Clancy
The NHL announced today that Jack Eichel was the Buffalo Sabres nomination for the King Clancy Memorials Trophy.
According to the NHL The King Clancy is awarded annually “to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.”
Each nomination was elected by the team and the winner will be picked by an NHL executive committee.
If you went to a lot of Sabres home games you would have noticed he donated a box to a charity, family, or cause for every home game.
The Sabres captain has embraced Buffalo since being drafted and has contributed a lot of time to the community off the ice.
This is Eichel’s first nomination for the award. The final three nominees will be announced next Tuesday, April 23rd.

The NHL will announce the three nominees for the Selke today and the and Lady Byng tomorrow.
