Foligno, Brennan, Hodgson Off To Hot Start

The Buffalo Sabres have sent some of their young talent to the AHL while the players and owners continue to squabble, but nobody’s squabbling over the results they’ve produced thus far.

Marcus Foligno, TJ Brennan, and Cody Hodgson are all in the top 10 in points after 5 games for the Rochester Americans.

Foligno leads all AHL players in goals with 5, and has added 3 assists for his 8 points, just one behind AHL leader Cory Conacher. Hodgson leads all players in assists with 7, but still has yet to find his first goal this season. And Brennan strikes a nice balance between the two, with 3 goals and 4 assists; Breannan has also racked up an impressive number of penalty minutes already with 10.

If we can’t watch them in Buffalo this year, it’s nice to know that the future Sabres are putting their talents to good use for Rochester.
