Greetings fellow DBTB followers ! I have to say I enjoy coming on this site and I love reading what everyone thinks about our beloved Sabres. Thanks to the DBTB staffers for providing this platform and to everyone out there, keep up the good work !
Today I’d like to propose a trade package the Sabres should offer to land what I think could be the final lineup piece that gets us to the playoffs (and hopefully beyond the 1st round !). NHL experts, (along with many of you on this site) feel as though the Sabres need a top six forward so here is what I think they should offer to get exactly that.
I propose that we offer B. Byram, Peyton Krebs, and a mid level prospect for a legit forward that is an established goal scorer in the NHL. I just feel as though Byram will be too expensive for us down the road and we should look to a team that needs an up and coming potential top two d-man. Our D-corp is strong right now even without him and the prospects at that position are solid as well. Krebs has not seized the opportunities presented to him in the last two years and would benefit from a change of scenery in my eyes. He still holds value and the Sabres need to get something for him while his stock is still relatively high. I do think we are still flush with good prospects and we can certainly afford to move Krebs and one of those prospects to get what we need.
I’m sure everyone noticed I didn’t mention any players to target. I purposely left that out so that everyone can offer up what the return should or can be. It should make for a great conversation so I’ll step away from the keyboard and let everyone offer up their ideas/thoughts.
