The new SB Nation United platform brought with it many changes, mostly visual for you guys, but with many behind-the-scenes improvements. With a new platform and a new season, we’ve been tinkering with our previews and recaps to find a style that will serve both our needs and yours as best as possible.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve done a few different styles of game recap:
- The most common has been the “Three Period Thoughts” style, as seen here.
- We’ve also done a “Three Up, Three Down” style recap, like this one.
- There was one game game where we wrote up more of an AP-style recap.
- Finally, we also tried some longer comments on the game’s most important moments or themes, like this./
We’re looking to find out what you guys want out of our game recaps. Let us know which style of recap you like best, or if any of those can be improved. We’ve had some smaller things in our recaps as well, which we’d love to hear from you on.
Want a Quick AP-style Recap no matter what the format? Don’t care about the Goal/Assist Summaries? Love or hate the Quotes From The Locker Room, or Postgame Audio? How about Comment of the Game, or Video Highlights? Is there anything we’re missing or we can do better? We won’t be able to do everything, and there are some things we can’t do by NHL or team rules, but today’s your chance to sound off in the comments or forever hold your peace.
