Cody McCormick fails physical, Rasmus Ristolainen out at least a week
Day one of on-ice training brought us some injury news.
The Sabres were out on the ice to begin the active part of training camp, but there were a few names missing.
Cody McCormick's season was cut short last year with blood clots, and it sounds like he may be missing quite a bit more time. The Sabres' grinder failed his physical and will be out indefinitely. The 32-year-old scored one goal and three assists in 33 games last season.
Rasmus Ristolainen was not on the ice this morning due to an upper-body injury according to the Sabres. He will miss no more than two weeks, and should be ready for the season opener against Ottawa.
