Buffalo Sabres vs. Carolina Hurricanes Preview: Sabres Look For Redemption At Home

One day after being outplayed by a then-winless Hurricanes team, the Buffalo Sabres look to get back on track by taking the second game of their home-and-home series against Carolina. The season debut for Jhonas Enroth did not go well yesterday, and sloppy play in all three zones resulted in too many giveaways and breakaways for the Sabres to overcome.

Changes For Tonight

Ryan Miller will be in net tonight for Buffalo, and Hurricanes backup Dan Ellis is expected to start for the Canes. Other than that, Lindy Ruff said today in practice that -surprise, surprise – he won’t be juggling his lines just yet. The Sabres have the hottest thing going in their top line of Thomas Vanek, Cody Hodgson, and Jason Pominville, but have gotten little else from the rest of the team combined. They’ll either need to stepup the secondary scoring or play lockdown defense tonight to have a chance.
