Tyler Myers Sitting Against Islanders On Saturday Night
Tyler Myers is going to be a healthy scratch against the New York Islanders on Saturday night. This is the second time in his career that Myers has been a healthy scratch.
With the Sabres morning skate coming to an end Saturday morning, news comes out that Tyler Myers will be a healthy scratch against the Islanders. With Andrej Sekera set to return from his foot injury, it gives head coach Lindy Ruff a chance to send another message to Tyler Myers for his poor performance. This isn't the first time that Myers has been a healthy scratch in his career as he was scratched for poor performance last year. Myers had this to say to WGR 550's Paul Hamilton after the skate:
"I'm embarrassed and I should be. Two years in a row now, it doesn't feel very good, but silver lining, I responded the way I needed to last time and that's what I have to do the second."
Myers currently through eleven games has one point on the season, his power play goal in the home opener, and is a team worst -9. He is also averaging 20:06 of ice time per game which is good for fourth on the team.
