The Top 25 Under 25 is a collaboration by members of the Die By The Blade community. It was a combination of staff writers and over 200 readers that ranked Buffalo Sabres players under the age of 25 as of August 1, 2024. Each participant used their own metric of current ability and production to rank each player. Staff votes counted equally with reader votes.
As I watched other NHL sites reveal their top 25 under 25 lists last summer, I noticed that some sites publish their staff votes in their entirety, something we haven’t really done to this point. Now, some sites also fully base their final rankings only on staff votes and don’t open it up to the public, but since we’ve got such a great community here, I think that part is important.
That said, I did think it would be interesting to publish our final staff rankings, so here’s how we voted:
