Ashton Schultz makes his debut on our list after a solid year and a strong finish to his USHL career. He set career highs in goals and points while playing 9 less games than in the 2024-2025 season. He was traded mid-season to the Sioux City Musketeers where he produced over a point per game in 17 regular season games and was a point per game player in the playoffs. He also put up 6 points in 5 games at the World Junior A Classic which helped team USA to secure the gold medal in the tournament.
Schultz is known for his 200-foot game and doesn’t take the finer details of his game for granted. His coach in Sioux City called him a “rink rat” and was impressed with his hockey IQ and playmaking ability. Those skills should translate well as he moves up from the USHL to college. Schultz will play at the University of North Dakota this upcoming season. He’ll have the opportunity to grow his game and build upon his solid foundation while playing in the highly competitive NCHC.
