Sabres select Rousek at 160th overall

Entering day two of the NHL Draft, the Buffalo Sabres had three sixth-round picks. After some jockeying up the board in the fourth and fifth round, they ended up with one sixth rounder remaining at 160th overall.

With what is, for now, their final selection of the day, the Sabres elected to take Czech forward, Lukas Rousek. An older draft pick at age 20, the HC Sparta Praha product posted 34 points in 53 games between the big club, their U20 team, and on loan with HC Stadion Litomerice (Czech 2 League).

Rousek was the 39th ranked European skater by NHL Central Scouting.
