Sabres select Aaron Huglen with 102nd overall pick

The Buffalo Sabres traded the 122nd overall pick and 175th overall pick to the Vancouver Canucks to move up to 102nd overall to select American forward, Aaron Huglen.

Last season as the captain at Roseau High School in Minnesota, he posted 52 points in 24 games. He is committed to play for the University of Minnesota in 2019-20.

Huglen was the 90th ranked North American skater by NHL Central Scouting.

If you haven’t been paying attention to Big 10 hockey, now might be the time. The Sabres already had Linus Weissbach at Wisconsin, and after this draft add Ryan Johnson (also joining the University of Minnesota) and goaltender Erik Portillo at University of Michigan.
