Buffalo Sabres Release Prospects Challenge Roster
Pekar, Olofsson, Jokiharju among attendees
The Buffalo Sabres have released their roster for the upcoming Prospects Challenge, to be held at Harborcenter in Buffalo on September 6-9, 2019. The roster features all of the usual suspects, including Matej Pekar, Victor Olofsson and newcomer Henri Jokiharju, who will suit up for Buffalo in the tournament against prospects from Boston, Pittsburgh and New Jersey.
Most of the attendees were either drafted or signed by the Sabres, but there are also a handful of free agent invitees as well. Notably absent from the roster: Dylan Cozens, who is still rehabbing an injury; and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who is also still recovering from his hip surgery back in April.
Here’s the full roster:
Forwards: Pascal Aquin (who signed an AHL deal with the Rochester Americans earlier this week); Rasmus Asplund; Shaw Boomhower (free agent invite); Stephen Harper (free agent invite); Bobby MacIntyre (free agent invite); Brett Murray; Andrew Oglevie; Victor Olofsson; Kyle Olson (free agent invite); Matej Pekar; Lukas Rousek; Arttu Ruotsalainen; Sebastian Vidmar (free agent invite); John Wiitala (free agent invite)
