Sabres recall Jean-Sebastien Dea

The Buffalo Sabres lost another forward last night in their win over the Florida Panthers. Evan Rodrigues only played 40 seconds in the game before he exited with an injury. As a result, they decided to make another recall from the AHL today.

They recalled forward Jean-Sebastien Dea from the Rochester Americans. The speedy forward has played 29 career NHL games with the New Jersey Devils and Pittsburgh Penguins. This season with the Amerks he’s recorded seven goals and 13 points in 18 games.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Sabres put their lineup together tonight when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning. They went with 11 forwards and seven defensemen last night in Sunrise against the Panthers. Will Krueger go that route again or put Dea into the lineup tonight?

Tonight won’t be an easy matchup for the Sabres and is the second game of five that they’ll play this week.
