Sabres recall Jean-Sebastien Dea

The Buffalo Sabres announced another roster move this morning. They recalled forward JS Dea from the Rochester Amerks.

He’ll replace the injured Kyle Okposo that left yesterday’s game with an upper-body injury. The good news on Okposo is that head coach Ralph Krueger indicated that it was not a head injury.

Dea is tied for the team lead in goals (13) with the Amerks and leads the club in points with 30 in 41 games. He also gives the Sabres some position flexibility to play on the wing or at center. The 25-year-old did play in one game earlier in the season with the Sabres but only logged a little five minutes in ice time. He has played a total of 30 NHL games in his career.

The Sabres back in action tomorrow afternoon when they host the red-hot Columbus Blue Jackets. We’ll see if the Krueger inserts Dea into the lineup or if he goes back to the 11/7 lineup with the injury to Okposo.
