McCabe, 25 years old, has spent his entire NHL career with the Buffalo Sabres organization.
In 59 games with the Sabres last season, McCabe tallied 14 points (four goals, 10 assists).
McCabe’s season ended early last season due to an injured shoulder. McCabe underwent shoulder surgery at the end of February and was expected to miss four-to-six months.
With no recent update, McCabe is still expected to be questionable for the start of training camp.
Heading into the arbitration process, there appeared to be a sizable rift between what the team valued McCabe at and what McCabe valued himself at.

Once healthy, McCabe is expected to play a big role for the Sabres re-tooled defensive group.
