- Zach Metsa signs a one-year extension worth $900,000 which keeps him under contract through the 2027-28 season. He played 43 games, scoring 2G and 4A and in the process became an analytics darling.
- The Buffalo Sabres signed a new multi-year partnership with Audacy, which will see WGR – AM/FM continue as the team’s official flagship radio station. Game broadcasts featuring Dan Dunleavy and Rob Ray will continue to air on WGR in the Buffalo broadcast market along with the Sabres App and Audacy App.
- The Sabres play four preseason games this month, starting on Sep 21st.
