The Sabres preseason is well underway with Buffalo sweeping Columbus before splitting the home-and-home with Detroit for a 3-1-0 record.
Among the younger players to have made a definite impression are 2025 First Round pick Radim Mrtka and 2024 First Round pick Konsta Helenius. Tyson Kozak has also done well, as has Ryan Johnson.
Alexandar Georgiev and Alex Lyon have both looked strong, and with Ukko Pekka Luukkonen expected to return this week too, an interesting goalie battle could be brewing.
