The Buffalo Sabres kept their point streak going while eventually winning a game that was level after 60 minutes. The other Buffalo team had a great win over a bitter conference rival. All is good in WNY again right?

Make no mistake, the Sabres took some hits last week. Losing Zach Benson to injury, by far the worst of them all. However, they’re still looking pretty good 5v5 and special teams is continuing its resurgence this season.

Still some work to do for team defense but Michael Kesselring has come and looked comfortable right away. Just need Rasmus Dahlin to start playing like he is capable of again.

As a team the Sabres are getting better than average goaltending too.

The second line is meanwhile continuing to drive the team, and heading to a difficult decision to make over Alex Tuch.

This week brings three out-of-division games.

Tue, Nov 4th, 7pm EST – Buffalo Sabres (5-4-3) vs Utah Mammoth (8-4-0)
Thu, Nov 6th, 7pm EST – Buffalo Sabres vs St Louis Blues (3-7-2)

The Amerks five-game winning streak came to a halt in the second road game at Laval with Alexandar Georgiev shipping four goals in a 5-2 defeat as he goes to 0-2-0 while Devon Levi remains unbeaten at 5-0-0.
