What is this strange time where we have two different Buffalo Sabres teams playing hockey? The ‘real’ team is away on a European sojourn before their pair of season openers against New Jersey Devils in Prague this coming weekend. Meanwhile, a prospects version of the Sabres is still playing preseason games here in the US, taking on the Red Wings on Monday night.
