The Buffalo Sabres received some bad news this morning. To add insult to injury from their loss last night to the Boston Bruins, they found out the status of forward Jeff Skinner. The Sabres will be without their offensive forward for the next three to four weeks due to a shoulder injury.
The play happened early in the third period when Skinner collided with Bruins forward David Pastrnak in front of the Sabres bench. He went right off the ice favoring his shoulder and didn’t return.
Skinner has struggled to put the puck in the net as of late, but has continued to generate offense. The Sabres are in the midst of a scoring slump and losing one of their best offense generating forwards is going to sting.
We’ll see how the team responds when they play the Bruins tomorrow in the second game of a home and home series. Ralph Krueger mixed up the forward lines in wake of the injury this morning at practice.
Switching things up a bit at practice today. ⬇️
