1. Making a run of it

The Sabres have struggled on and off lately, but over the past few days, they’ve managed to string together two consecutive wins. After falling to Vancouver on Saturday, they bested Detroit - one of the league’s worst teams - on Sunday, then toppled the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday. Can the Sabres pull off a third straight win tonight in Dallas?

2. The rematch

The Sabres have only won two of their last 10 games against the Stars, but the last win was a big one. Buffalo beat Dallas 4-0 back in October. Tonight’s game is their second and final meeting of the season. The Sabres are looking for their first win in Dallas in almost exactly 11 years.
