Sabres will have eight games broadcast on NBCSN next season

The Sabres continue to get national TV love with eight games on NBCSN in 2016-17.

Despite being one of the worst teams in the NHL over the past three seasons, the rest of the nation has continually been subjected to watching Buffalo Sabres games thanks to the team's incredible drawing power in Western New York. Sorry, not sorry.

The broadcast schedule for NHL games on NBCSN has just been released, and the Sabres will appear eight times next season on the national broadcast. Buffalo's eight games may seem like quite a lot...until you realize the Blackhawks appear on either NBC or NBCSN a whopping 21 times. The Sabres' national games are:

Date Away Home Time (EST)
Tuesday, Oct. 25 Buffalo Philadelphia 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 3 Buffalo NY Rangers 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 5 Buffalo Chicago 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 2 NY Rangers Buffalo 7:30 p.m.

The good news for the rest of the country is that the Sabres should be much more entertaining to watch next year, and hopefully those late-season contests against teams like the Flyers and Red Wings should involve the excitement of a playoff chase.
