What to Watch

1. New Lineup

The Sabres will have to mix up their lineup again today. Eric Staal was traded to the Montreal Canadiens yesterday, so they have a hole to fill at center. Dylan Cozens will likely go back to playing center after being on the wing last game.

Riley Sheahan, Curtis Lazar, and Cody Eakin will be the three centers on the roster behind him. Yikes…

2. Avoiding 17

They’ll look to avoid losing their 17th straight game this afternoon. There appears to be no end in sight for this winless streak with the injuries, trades, and lack of scoring. The good news is they face the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday and Wednesday next week. That could be their chance to snap the streak.

Projected Lineup

Buffalo Sabres

Honestly, it’s hard to even guess at this point. We’ll find out who is in the lineup today in warmups or when Don Granato speaks later this afternoon.
