Buffalo Sabres All-Star Team: The Final Roster
If the Sabres franchise put out a full all-time team featuring twelve forwards, six defensemen, two goalies, and a coaching staff, who would be on it? You nominated and voted over the summer, and today we present the final roster.
few weeks ago, we began our summer quest to fill out a full team of Buffalo Sabres All-Stars. Once per week, we're asking you to nominate and vote on a different aspect of that team, from the top scorers, to the minute eaters on defense, all the way down to the coaching staff.
With the final vote, the coaching staff was set, and the recently departed Lindy Ruff earned the nomination as head coach, with 1970's Buffalo legends Floyd Smith and Punch Imlach rounding out the assistants. Smith, in addition to being the team's first ever captain as a player, led the team to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1975. Imlach, of course, helped build the expansion Sabres as both the team's first GM and coach.
Here we have the final roster, the best Sabres roster of all-time, as voted by you.
