The Buffalo Sabres will host the New York Rangers on Thursday, October 9 at 7 p.m. at KeyBank Center. The team announced its home opener on Wednesday morning, with the full schedule being released at 1 p.m. The Sabres will close out the regular season at home once again, hosting the Dallas Stars on Wednesday, April 15th at 7 p.m.
The NHL season begins on Tuesday, October 7. Three games were initially announced, a tripleheader that will be broadcast on ESPN, Sportsnet and TVA Sports. Those games include the Florida Panthers hosting the Chicago Blackhawks; the New York Rangers hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Los Angeles Kings hosting the Colorado Avalanche.
The Sabres social media account did manage to put out some fun content leading up to the schedule release with representing each opponent as a different type of chicken wing.
