Sabres with another depth signing in defender Brandon Davidson

The Buffalo Sabres announced their third signing of the day in left-shot defenseman Brandon Davidson. The contract is a one-year, one-way deal worth the league minimum of $700k.

The left-shot defender has played no more than 15 NHL games in each of the last three years. He played in 12 games last season between the Calgary Flames and San Jose Sharks registering no points. In 34 games with the Stockton Heat last season he recorded three goals and 20 points.

The Amerks are in need of some veteran depth with the departures of Zach Redmond, Brandon Hickey, and John Gilmour.

We’ll see when Kevyn Adams decides to sign his first true NHL player of free agency. So far we’ve seen thre players that are all likely ticketed do be at the very least AHL/NHL tweener players for the club.

A lot of the big names have not signed yet, which could bode well for the Sabres.
