UPDATE – 2/26/26 7:45pm
Thank you thank you thank you DBTB for your outpouring of love towards Jedi. I feel I am not exaggerating when I say that there truly is no community like this anywhere.
One of you fine readers here reached out to the Sabres and will be getting something from the organization. We’re thinking of having a raffle with whatever we get, along with anything Sabres (or Buffalo) related that any generous folks are looking to donate to the cause.
If you would like to contribute something to be raffled off, please reach out to me at gtgi12p at gmail dot com.
Once we know how many prizes we’ll have, I’ll set up the raffle and let everyone know about the details of the raffle, tickets, drawing dates etc. Stay tuned to this space.

DBTB friends and family — over the past few weeks I’ve gotten to learn a little more about what our buddy Jedi has been dealing with. True to form, he hasn’t said much himself — he’s humble, quiet, and somehow still cracking jokes even as life keeps throwing him curveballs.
Long story short, after a transplant, Jedi’s been dealing with a handful of complications that have had him in and out of the hospital for various procedures. What he definitely hasn’t mentioned is that he lost both his Social Security Disability and Medicaid over a year ago. As we all know, medical bills in this country can pile up fast, and he’s been using his savings just to keep up.
He’s reapplied for both programs — Medicaid looks close to being approved (good news!), but Social Security is still radio‑silent. A bunch of you reached out asking how you could get in touch with him, and several of you had a fantastic idea: maybe we can all give Jedi a little boost.
So, with that in mind, here’s a GoFundMe to help him make ends meet while things sort themselves out. Absolutely no pressure — anything you’re able to chip in would mean a lot, but there’s zero obligation for anyone in the DBTB community.
