The Rochester Americans had themselves a pair of games to handle after the AHL All-Star Break.

Rochester was not held back by any potential lag and found themselves continuing their winning ways.

Three Big Things

1: Gone Streaking

With their two wins this past weekend, Rochester again finds themselves streaking in the North Division.

Sitting four points behind the division-leading Belleville Senators, Rochester is currently running on a five-game winning streak.

This goes in the books as Rochester’s second five-game winning streak of the season.

While Belleville and Rochester continue to keep up their winning ways, the rest of the North Division is struggling to keep pace.

Rochester currently finds themselves eight points up on the fourth place Laval Rocket, with two games in hand.

2: Casey at Bat

Another two games in the books where forward Casey Mittelstadt found himself on the score sheet.

On Friday night, it was a goal midway through the first period.

On Saturday night, it was an assist on Brett Murray’s first goal of the game.

After a much-reported struggle after being sent down to the Amerks, which included zero points in his first three games, Mittelstadt continues to settle in.

Not only has Mittelstadt scored 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 19 games, he has recorded a point in 11 of those games.

3: Hall of Fame

On Friday night, the Rochester Americans inducted former forward Domenic Pittis into the Amerks Hall of Fame.

Pittis goes down as the 65th member of the Hall of Fame.

In two different stints with the Amerks, Pittis amassed 246 points (75 goals, 171 assists) in 204 games.

Pittis’ professional career took him all over the map, starting in the International Hockey League, multiple stints in the AHL and NHL with different franchises and ended with an extended stint overseas in Switzerland’s National League.

When his skates were finally hung up, Pittis played almost 1,000 professional hockey games.

The man rightfully takes his place in the Amerks Hall of Fame.
