On Friday night, the Buffalo Sabres selected defenseman Radim Mrtka with the ninth overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. Other than that, it was a pretty quiet night for the Sabres – and in general. There were a handful of trades involving draft picks, but other than that, the four-hour-long affair from Los Angeles was relatively uneventful.
The NHL Draft resumes on Saturday at 12 noon.
The Sabres currently hold these picks:
- Round 2, Pick #39 – traded to Penguins
- Round 3, Pick #71 – David Bedkowski, RHD, Owen Sound Attack (OHL)
- Round 4, Pick #103 – Matous Kucharcik, C, HC Slavia Praha U20 (Czechia U20)
- Round 4, Pick #116 – Samuel Meloche, G, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (QMJHL)
- Round 5, Pick #135 – Noah Laberge, LHD, Acadie-Bathurst Titan (QMJHL)
