Second year Sabres’ forward improved his offensive production this season.

Total Season Stats: 10-18-28 in 67 games

Age: 27

Contract Status: Signed through 2024-25, UFA at the start of 2025-26

Buffalo left winger Jordan Greenway performed the opposite of many of the team’s forwards, increasing his offensive production this past season compared to the previous year. Unlike normally high-scoring players including Tage Thompson, Jeff Skinner and Alex Tuch, who enjoyed fewer goals and assists, Greenway improved his stats.

No. 12’s numbers for 2023-24 were 10 goals, 18 assists and 28 total points. That was a definite advance over his first season with the Sabres, where he had a 4-0-4 record. To be fair, Greenway only appeared in 17 contests that year, so it’s not surprising he produced so poorly.

Greenway’s point total this past year was roughly on par his stats with the Minnesota Wild, where he enjoyed one 32-point season, one 28-point year, one 27-point campaign and one with 24 points, respectively. He hasn’t been a top-scorer for the Sabres but he has had his moments.

Back on Dec. 21, 2023, Greenway was coming off a nine-game absence because of injury. With no score early in the first period and KeyBank Center filled with obnoxious Leaf fans, Greenway picked up the puck from Connor Clifton and beat Toronto goalie Ilya Samsonov with a long wrister to make it 1-0 Sabres.

On another occasion on Feb. 19, 2024, also early in the game with nothing on the board, Casey Mittelstadt forced a turnover and passed the puck to Dylan Cozens, who set up Greenway. Greenway proceeded to beat Anaheim Ducks’ goalie John Gibson shortsided to give Buffalo a 1-0 lead.

Jordan Greenway has the ability to score goals, it’s just a shame he hasn’t scored more. Fans would like to see a 20 or 25-goal season out of him this coming year. No. 12 possesses the skills, let’s see if he can make the most of future scoring opportunities.
