Have yourself a game, Jeremy Davies. The heretofore unknown Davies scored his first two Roochester goals tonight, and boy did he make them count.
Davies converted a Jiri Kulich pass in the dying seconds of overtime to give the Amerks this key win in Cleveland. Davies, a seventh-round draftee of the New Jersey Devils in 2016, earlier scored midway through the third period, providing the visitors a 3-2 lead.
Kulich is another big part of last night’s game story. The 18-year-old scored a goal for the third successive contest. Kulich's two points upped his season total to 14 (5 goals, 9 assists).
Linus Weissbach scored Rochester’s other goal. Amerks' goalie Malcolm Subban made 31 saves.
First Star: Linus Weissbach
Second star: Jiri Kulich
Rochester record: 11-6-1-1 (2nd place, AHL North Division)
Amerks next – Dec. 3, at Cleveland (7 p.m.)
