Northeastern 4, Vermont 0
Give Devon Levi a full week to stew over a tough outing, and you're likely to pay for it. The Catamounts couldn't solve what could be a big part of the Sabres goaltending future in this rare late-afternoon Tuesday contest in Burlington.
Levi stopped 27 shots for his ninth shutout, a Northeastern season record that keeps growing. Levi bounced back nicely from giving up five goals in a 6-2 home loss to Arizona State on Jan. 11.
The Huskies are 16-5-1, and that's Levi's record too. The sophomore has played every minute this season.
Levi and his teammates are in a three-way tussle for the Hockey East regular season title. Northeastern (26 points) trails only UMass-Lowell (31 points), but has a game in hand. Defending national champion UMass-Amherst (24 points) has played one less contest than NU.

Video -- As of press time no video was available from the NU-UVM game. However, both coaches -- Todd Woodcroft (Vermont) and Jerry Keefe (Northeastern) -- paid tribute to Levi in post-game interviews.
If a video highlight package surfaces eventually, I'll post a link in the comments section.
