The group stage wrapped up yesterday at the 2021 IIHF Men’s World Championships. Team USA won their group, J.J. Peterka potted his first of the tournament, but the day belonged to Arttu Ruotsalainen.

The Sabres forward scored two goals in Finland’s 3-2 victory over Canada. Not only did he score two in regulation, but he also scored the deciding goal in the shootout.

Ruotsalainen went end to end on his first goal of the contest.

He finished off a nice pass from Florida Panthers prospect Anton Lundell for his second of the game.

Peterka showed off his underrated shot again on his goal against Latvia.
