Score: Islanders 5 | Sabres 2

Shots: NYI 29 | BUF 22

Sabres Goals: Jacob Bryson (1), Sam Reinhart (PPG) (9)

Islanders Goals: Mat Barzal (9), Brock Nelson (7), Cal Clutterbuck (2), Scott Mayfield (2), and Anders Lee (11)

Plus 1 | Bryson Scores

Well, let’s start with the good news. Jacob Bryson scored his first NHL goal in the first minute of the game. He has been impressive since getting an opportunity to step into the lineup. He’s one of the few bright spots over the last few weeks for the team.

Plus/Minus 2 | Ralph’s Last Game?

Is this it for Ralph Krueger? You feel like it has to be, but who knows. After yesterday’s press conference I don’t know how Kevyn Adams can let him coach the team on national television tomorrow.

This was another embarrassing performance and it appears everyone is just waiting for the inevitable to happen.

The Sabres finish their three-game set with the New York Islanders tomorrow at noon to kick off Hockey Day in America.
