NCAA Hockey -- Weekend Highlights

Friday's game highlights should interest you more for the simple reason that Sabres' prospects shined. Saturday? Not so much.

Michigan and Ohio State split its series in Columbus. The Wolverines won the opener, 5-2. The Buckeyes bounced back the next night, 6-1.

Erik Portillo made 36 saves on Friday, matching a career high. The sophomore might have topped that number Saturday, had he not been pulled midway through the third period. Portillo was up to 33 saves, but took a seat on the Michigan bench after giving Ohio State's fifth goal.

You won't see Owen Power in the highlights. The sophomore is at the Team Canada selection camp for the upcoming World Junior Championship.

North Dakota swept Colorado College in Steamboat Springs. ND won by scores of 5-2, and 4-1.

Matteo Costantini scored ND's second goal in the Friday game. The freshman played a regular shift Saturday, but didn't register a point.
