Multiple reports early Thursday morning indicate that the Jack Eichel saga with the Buffalo Sabres is finally coming to an end.
Pending an official trade call, the deal is reportedly this: Eichel and a 2023 3rd-round pick to Vegas in exchange for Peyton Krebs, Alex Tuch, a 2022 1st-round pick (lottery protected) and a 2023 3rd-round pick.
No salary retained by the Sabres.
We have acquired forwards Peyton Krebs and Alex Tuch, a top-10 protected 2022 first-round pick, and a 2023 second-round pick in exchange for forward Jack Eichel and a 2023 third-round pick.— Buffalo Sabres (@BuffaloSabres) November 4, 2021

As a result of the pending deal, Eichel will finally be able to have the surgery he desires on his herniated disc and should return to hockey action after the Olympic break. The Golden Knights come to Buffalo in March 2022, perfect timing for his return to Buffalo.
The expectation is Eichel will have disc replacement surgery very soon. Recovery time varies. Everyone hopeful he will be back on the ice in 4 months. https://t.co/PzLx7H0jpC— Darren Dreger (@DarrenDreger) November 4, 2021
Tuch, meanwhile, is on IR after shoulder surgery in July.
