NCAA Saturday Hockey -- Sabres' prospects

Again, no video highlights. Those will be presented in a DBTB Fanpost tomorrow, after the RPI-Northeastern game (3 p.m. start).

Michigan 4, Niagara 1

The Purple Eagles gave as good as they got for two periods, but the roof caved in over the final 20 minutes. Niagara led 1-0, and entered the third tied, 1-1.

It was a good night for Michigan's future Sabres. Owen Power had two assists, and was plus-four. Erik Portillo made 23 saves (20 combined in the first two periods).

Michigan next -- Dec. 3 & 4 vs. Minnesota in Ann Arbor

North Dakota 3, Minnesota 2

ND managed to split its weekend set with its long-time rival in Grand Forks. The hosts held a 3-0 lead late, but had to hang on tight.

Ryan Johnson (Minnesota) played a lot, and finished minus-one with no other statistics. Matteo Costantini (North Dakota) played a little, and he too didn't have any statistics.

Minnesota next (see above)

North Dakota next -- Dec 3 & 4 vs. St. Cloud State in St. Cloud, Minn.
