The Sabres are back at it, this time on home ice.

With October, spooky season is officially underway... and the Buffalo Sabres kicked it off a little early last night, with a spooky (terrible) performance in a 6-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings. While Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen looked good in the initial twenty minutes, the effort collapsed from there. Thankfully, it’s still only preseason, and the Sabres will get another crack at it tonight against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Final note: Expect a handful of cuts over the coming days, as the Rochester Americans report for physicals on Monday & begin on-ice training camp Tuesday. While some AHL-bound players will remain in the Sabres camp for a while long, at least a few players will be sent down sooner rather than later.
